NASSAU, BAHAMAS – One cruise line is giving a scathing assessment of the Downtown Nassau area saying the tourism destination got a very low ranking by its guest.

Royal Caribbean International President Michael Bayley made the revelation as he appeared as a guest on Our TV’s On the Record current affairs show.

He and host, Jerome Sawyer, were discussing the private beach club proposed for Paradise Island.

But, from what Bayley says the reviews aren’t too great.

Downtown Nassau is just one of many destinations for Royal Caribbean and other cruise ships.

As for ways to address the issue, Bayley says this organization is willing to work together with stakeholders to make the destination better.

He suggests a survey for visitors be done to get the customer’s view.

Bayley says he has visited Bay Street and seen firsthand trash along the street.
