NASSAU, BAHAMAS – A local gospel group is getting ready to celebrate 30 years tomorrow and to mark the occasion the group is getting ready to host a concert with some big names in the industry.

It started out as a youth choir group and evolved into what’s known as Edison Sumner and The Voices of Praise.

The group over the years has evolved and won many gospel awards.

Now it will be celebrating 30 years this Sunday in a grand celebration.

The group’s co-public relations coordinator is Kevin Harris.

The concert will be held at Bahamas Faith Ministries.

Harris says what’s unique about the group is that the membership for the most part has remained constant.

Harris attributes that unique sound to the group’s unique approach to its music.

As the group marks its 30th anniversary on Sunday, Harris says the future remains bright.
