NASSAU, BAHAMAS – The Member of Parliament responsible and the Minister of Works says a number of infrastructural upgrades on tap for Eleuthera.

Minister of Works, Alfred Sears, donating 100 tonnes of cold patch to road work initiatives on Eleuthera. Member of Parliament for Central and South Eleuthera, Clay Sweeting says he, along with residents, are excited.  However, Sweeting says they are advocating for more long term solutions.

Soon, Sears says a major re-paving initiative, similar to that in Exuma, will take place on Eleuthera. He also announced plans for the island’s airport.

Sears says he and Sweeting also hosted a community consultation initiative to discuss the Glass Window Bridge.

Works are also expected for the George Town Dock and wharf.
