Former Cop Acquitted of Incest after Daughter Recants Story

NASSAU, BAHAMAS – A jury has acquitted a 53-year-old father of incest.

Prosecutors alleged that the former policeman had sex with his 11-year-old daughter on March 12, 2021.

The incident allegedly happened in the family’s home in New Providence.

The girl said that she woke up to use the bathroom when her dad forced her to have the sex.

Months after the incident, the girl recanted her allegations against her father.

The witness testified that she was following her father’s instructions when she recanted because she wanted her parents to get back together.
