Freeport’s Garden Resort Demolished

GRAND BAHAMA, BAHAMAS – The Freeport Garden Resort located on East Mall Drive and Adventurers Way is officially gone following a demolition exercise by the Grand Bahama Port Authority.

The GBPA says the demolition is in line with section 11 of the Freeport Building Code and Sanitary Code Bye-Laws.

This video shows a demolition excavator tearing down parts of the building that once housed a number of people.

The building has been a part of the Freeport community for decades.

Following hurricane Matthew, the Freeport Garden Resort was significantly damage and some parts of the roof caved.

The building’s issues intensified following hurricane Dorian.
