NASSAU, BAHAMAS – Grand Bahama feeling those tropical storm conditions today. Our team caught up with residents who were taking no chances.

Overcast skies and rough seas was the backdrop on Grand Bahama Wednesday afternoon. Betty Williams telling the Our News team, she prepared with prayer. And, the traditional necessities.

Gabby Grant says she’s lived near the coast for decades and she’s not overly concerned. However, their family business sits directly on the water.

When it comes to Hurricane Ian, Alan Williams wasn’t too phased. He says he’s weathered countless storms and believes he has a sixth-sense about whether or not a storm will “hit”.

Over in Western Grand Bahama, Our News team caught up with Chief Welfare Officer in the Department of Social Services, Rochelle Minnis.

Now, if you intend to seek shelter, you are reminded to bring along personal items such as a blanket, medication, important documents and water.
