GRAND BAHAMA, BAHAMAS – Grand Bahama Port Authority responding to widely circulated comments in a local daily by Prime Minister Philip Davis.

Davis saying over the years Grand Bahama has failed to live up to its true potential… and that government is in discussions with the Port Authority to identify a path towards putting the island on track to fulfilling its full potential.

GBPA President Ian Rolle says the port has and continues to engage with government in meaningful dialogue.

Rolle reaffirming the ports commitment to working in the spirit of true collaboration with all stakeholders… to move the island’s economy forward and spur the revitalization as well as investor confidence.

The statement continues, noting that following catastrophic storms on the island and a pandemic, now more than ever it’s important to work together, focused on a common goal.
