Governor General: Free Yourselves Of Mental Slavery

NASSAU, BAHAMAS – In commemoration of August 1, 1834, the historic day when the British Empire abolished the slavery of people of African descent, now known as Emancipation day, residents of Fox Hill gathered at the Fox Hill parade grounds for a time of celebration and reflection.
