GRAND BAHAMA, BAHAMAS – Minister for Grand Bahama, Ginger Moxey is clearing the air when it comes to the relationship between the government and the Grand Bahama Port Authority.

Moxey once served as the Vice President of the GBPA, but resigned in may 2014.

She says since coming into office there have been ongoing efforts to make the Grand Bahama Port Authority more progressive as they work toward their shared goal of improving Freeport.

While there have been efforts to communicate and collaborate with the Grand Bahama Port Authority, the minister for Grand Bahama says they don’t alway see eye to eye.

Most recently, the rate increases for water services where she says the Hawksbill Creek agreement led to the “regulator regulating themselves”.
