GRAND CAY, BAHAMAS – Unreliable utilities and inadequate healthcare facilities creating some issues for the people who live and visit Grand Cay.

The island’s Chief Councilor George Russell talking about the utilities and medical facilities as government officials visited for a government complex renaming.

The irony here is that tourists arrivals are at record numbers.

Russell says even the visitors are noticing the neglect.

Like many Family Islands and cays, Grand Cay has limited healthcare services at their clinic.

It’s an issue russell is pushing to have addressed.

Another area of focus, making sure their hurricane team is properly prepared before the peak of the season.
