EXUMA, BAHAMAS – This weekend marks the return of one of the oldest boat races in the country – the Rolleville Homecoming Festival and Regatta. And, if you plan to visit, the Our News production crew, along with our Megan Shepherd, scoped out the best luxury condo-tel on the island to make sure your stay is absolutely perfect. And, it’s just 15 minutes away from the regatta site.

Grand Isle Resort sits on picturesque miles of beaches. Seventy-eight units make up what General Manager Dean Spychalla, calls a luxury “condo-tel”.

The villas, which are between one- and three-bedroom homes, all feature full kitchens.

The resort features an arrary of amenities including a spa, several restaurants and a golf course.

Post pandemic, the term “revenge travel” has become quite popular as travelers seek to break free from lockdowns and travel bans. Well, Spychalla says the resort has benefited greatly from this need to travel as the resort has been experiencing record bookings.

Now, Spychalla admits while the resort offers world class service, unfortunately, the island of Exuma does not have a reputation of being a high-end destination. However, he believes there is potential.
