GRAND BAHAMA, BAHAMAS – The Free National Movement’s Candidate for West Grand Bahama and Bimini Bishop Ricardo Grant says despite the loss, he remains committed to that community.

This after he was defeated at the polls during Wednesday’s by-election. Grant unofficially received 1,276 votes while PLP Candidate Kingsley Smith got 2,150 votes.

Free National Movement Leader Michael Pintard had this to say about the loss.

Based on the unofficial numbers, there was a low voter turnout just over 3,000 of the more than 6,000 registered voters turned up at the polls.

These two FNM supporters shared their views on why they think only 62 percent of voters marked their X’s.
