GUYANA – Guyanese Health Minister Dr. Frank Anthony has confirmed that two children, including a nine-year-old child, have died after being infected with dengue.

GUYANA – Guyanese Health Minister Dr. Frank Anthony has confirmed that two children, including a nine-year-old child, have died after being infected with dengue.

He said the children had been receiving treatment at the intensive care unit at Georgetown Public Hospital.

Official figures show an estimated 3,453 people have been infected so far this year, with more than 2,00 cases still active.
