GUYANA – Health authorities issued a warning Wednesday about counterfeit diabetes drugs in the market. The Government Analyst-Food and Drug Department (GA-FDD) reported fake Ozempic (Semaglutide) batches based on World Health Organization findings.

GUYANA – Health authorities issued a warning Wednesday about counterfeit diabetes drugs in the market. The Government Analyst-Food and Drug Department (GA-FDD) reported fake Ozempic (Semaglutide) batches based on World Health Organization findings.

These falsified batches were found in Brazil, the UK, and the US and may have reached Guyana.

Using these fake drugs can lead to ineffective treatment and serious health risks.
