UNITED STATES – Buddy Hield returned to the rotation for the Golden State Warriors, scoring 12 points in a 118–107 win over the Phoenix Suns. He shot 4-for-7 from the field and 3-for-5 from beyond the arc in 20 minutes.

After limited playtime in recent games, Hield’s performance was part of a dominant bench effort that produced 63 points.

Meanwhile, rookie VJ Edgecombe continues to impress with the Philadelphia 76ers, recording his first NBA double-double, 12 points, 11 rebounds, 4 assists, and 2 steals, in a hard-fought 113–111 loss to the Chicago Bulls. The 76ers blew a 24-point lead before Nikola Vučević sealed the Bulls’ win with a clutch three-pointer in the final seconds.

College Hoops Recognition:
WNBA superstar Jonquel Jones is set to have her jersey retired by George Washington University, cementing her legacy as one of the most decorated players in Bahamian basketball history. Jones, who starred for the Revolutionaries from 2013 to 2016, was a two-time Atlantic 10 Player of the Year, Defensive Player of the Year, and remains among GW’s all-time leaders in scoring, rebounds, and blocks.

After being drafted sixth overall in the 2016 WNBA Draft, Jones has built a storied professional career, earning titles as WNBA MVP, Finals MVP, and five-time All-Star.

Tennis Milestone:
Back home, Island Tennis Bahamas hosted its first-ever Universal Tennis Rating (UTR) tournament at Windsor School, marking a new chapter in Bahamian tennis development.
Tatyana Madu captured the 18U title, while Rebecca Bitan took the 14U crown.

The event, launched by national team veterans Kevin Major, Philip Major Jr., and Marvin Rolle, aims to strengthen the pipeline for junior players aged 4–19. The next tournaments in the series will continue through November 16.
