NASSAU, BAHAMAS – The recent change from a level one: “exercise normal precautions” to a level two: “exercise increased caution” designation by the U.S. government is not sitting too well with The Bahamas Hotel and Tourism Association.

BHTA President Robert Sands says crime, if left unabated, is an absolute threat to the nation’s tourism product.

He says it’s not just about the tourism sector but the community as a whole. He says he believes collaboration is key.
