NASSAU, BAHAMAS – Leader of the Opposition Free National Movement (FNM), Michael Pintard, is addressing growing curiosity from members of the public regarding when the party will begin the ratification of candidates for the next general election.

Pintard emphasized that candidate selection is a rigorous process, one that involves detailed interviews and thorough background investigations. He confirmed that at least 90 out of the 100 applicants have already completed their interviews.

Looking ahead, Pintard assured the public that, if elected, a Pintard-led administration would be inclusive and forward-thinking, featuring a diverse array of individuals, including women, veterans, and young professionals at the forefront of national leadership.

Michael Pintard – Leader, Free National Movement
“Sixty-five percent of the population is under twenty-five, and the reality is, in the Free National Movement, we have so many talented young people who ought to be strategically placed in Cabinet, running major corporations, and representing us overseas. So certainly, you’re going to see a new cadre of leaders.”

Though the selection process remains ongoing, Pintard is confident it will not slow the party’s momentum. He proudly described a united and energized FNM, prepared to face the next general election.

Michael Pintard – Leader, Free National Movement
“As far as we’re concerned, we have an army that is ready, an army that every day is seeking to be better than we were yesterday. We’re more responsive to the needs of Bahamians, addressing the core issues that matter most: education, the cost of living, healthcare, crime, and immigration. These are critical issues Bahamians want us to talk about, the legislation, the policies, and the programs we will put in place. We are spending our time listening to them, sharing what our plan of action is, and taking on board their feedback. So yes, the team is ready to go.”
