NASSAU, BAHAMAS – Insurance companies from around the country met to talk about climate change, and how insurance may be a tool.

Bahamas First Group President and CEO, Patrick Ward, says the insurance industry has definitely felt the heat from climate change.

The climate change luncheon presented by the Bahamas Insurance Association was also sponsored by Bahamas First.

It drew in attendees from across the industry, as well as a climate expert who discussed a series of possible ways insurance could help shape the way the country navigates climate change.

One of the suggestions was for insurance companies to have more involvement in the onset of developments.
