Jamaican Labour Minister Resigns

JAMAICA – Over in Jamaica a cabinet reshuffle seem imminent as veteran Jamaica Labour Party politician, Karl Samuda, has announced his departure from the cabinet as Minister of Labour and Social Security.

Samuda, who spoke to multiple media outlets this weekend says his resignation will take effect today.

The 81-year-old told reporters in a recent radio interview that it was always his intention to serve “Two to three years” in the cabinet after the 2020 general elections.
