MIAMI, FLORIDA – Jazz Chisholm powered his Miami Marlins to a 6-1 win over the Washington Nationals Thursday night.

The centerfielder from New Providence went 2-5, hitting a double and launching a three-run home run in the top of the 5th to put the fish up 5-0.

UB’s women’s volleyball team played two matches last week against Florida National University at the Bucky Dent Gymnasium in Miami.

Although the team lost both Thursday’s and Friday’s matches in straight sets, coach Raymond Wilson said the experience was invaluable.

The Bahamas sent a three-person delegation consisting of Father Scott Jupp, Troy Rahming, and Luque Lockhart to the Caribbean Area Squash Association Championships in Cayman last week.

The trip was made possible thanks to the reformation of the Bahamas Squash Association which fell dormant in recent years.

Rahming and Father Jupp, a former national champ are holding things down for now, serving as acting president and vice president, respectively,  until the association can hold formal elections.
