NASSAU, BAHAMAS – Officials say technical issues involving the sale of Junkanoo tickets have been resolved.

Chairman of the Junkanoo Committee of New Providence Dion Miller noted that it is time to add more value to areas along the parade route that would entice members of the viewing public to spread out beyond the prime Rawson Square location.

Fifty Bahamian judges have been trained and certified to ensure each group has a fair chance at capturing the top spot.

Miller says since scores have been moved to a digital platform with the use of tablets, the scoring process has improved.

Whether in the bleachers or standing along the route, spectators can expect a full lineup of groups.

And as to when it all kicks off Cultural Officer and Junkanoo Coordinator in the Ministry of Culture, Ellery Deveaux breaks it down.
