NEW YORK, UNITED STATES – Jonquel Jones and the New York Liberty will play their first game of the WNBA Finals on Sunday at 3pm.

Jonquel Jones has put up gaudy numbers so far in the playoffs, averaging a hair under 17 points and 13 rebounds per game as her team put away the Washington Mystics and the Connecticut Sun for a chance to get that elusive ring.

Riding with her is league MVP Breanna Stewart, three-point record-holder Sabrina Ionescu and WNBA all-defensive team player Betnija Laney.

They’ll have their hands full against the Las Vegas Aces, the only team with a record better than theirs this year.

CONCACAF Soccer

The Bahamas men’s soccer team will return to CONCACAF National League play against Antigua and Barbuda.

The match will be played on October 14th at the Thomas A. Robinson Stadium right here in New Providence.

The Bahamas played a couple of CONCACAF matches last month falling to Puerto Rico 6-1 and losing a close 3-2 match to Grenada.

Now they’ll have a chance to get in the win column and earn some league points.
