The Bahamian Scored 12 Points and Grabbed 13 Rebounds in a Rare Hornets Win

NASSAU, BAHAMAS – The 2022-23 season has been a lost one for the Charlotte Hornets and for Kai Jones. The second-year big man from Nassau has found himself frequently in and out of the lineup and in the G-League for the bulk of the season.

But on Tuesday night he showed his boundless potential scoring 12 points and grabbing 14 rebounds off the bench as his Hornets beat the Oklahoma City Thunder 137-134.

Jones scored his points without missing a shot, going 5 for 5 from the field. He also put on an aerial showcase.

The Hornets’ miserable season comes to an end on Friday night against the Chicago Bulls.

Kai Jones’ future will be up in the air at the season’s conclusion. Hornets owner Michael Jordan has been rumored to be looking into selling the team. Jones has shown his ridiculous potential when he’s gotten a chance to play, however, the Hornets have mostly benched him or stuck him in the G-League where he averaged 15 points and 8 rebounds.

Hopefully, he gets moved so someplace where he can play.
