U.S.A. – Bahamians Klay Thompson and Kai Jones played big in the Dallas Mavericks’ 120-119 win over the Chicago Bulls on Saturday night.

Klay Thompson led the team with 20 points, making five of his ten three-point attempts to lead the team. He came up big with two clutch free throws with 6 seconds left for the Mavs’ final two points. They would need it because Bulls Center Nikola Vucevic hit a wild three-pointer that was for naught afterward because of Klay’s clutch shooting.

Klay also reached a milestone, hitting his 200th three-pointer of the game, reaching the mark for the 10th time in his career.

Kai Jones also stepped up in the win, scoring 15 points on a hyper-efficient 7 of 8 shooting with 7 rebounds and three assists. He also wreaked havoc on defense with 4 steals and three blocks.

The win puts Klay, Kai and the Mavs in the final slot of the play-in tournament. They’ll try to widen their lead on Monday when they play the Brooklyn Nets.
