NASSAU, BAHAMAS – The first Labor on the Campus was launched at Government High School, Thursday, featuring speeches from politicians and teachers, reminding students of the successes of alumni, and the opportunities here at home.

Education Minister, Glenys Hanna-Martin, also spoke to the economy’s skills-gap that leads to Bahamians being overlooked in favor of foreign hires.

Our News also spoke to Labour and Immigration Minister, Keith Bell about plans to help steer school-aged children toward degrees or training in industries that are most commonly requesting work permits for new hires.
