LED Bulbs Installed to Help with Crime Fight
NASSAU, BAHAMAS – The Royal Bahamas Police Force taking their crime fighting efforts up a notch, by lighting up the streets of New Providence in a partnership to create safer communities.
NASSAU, BAHAMAS – The Royal Bahamas Police Force taking their crime fighting efforts up a notch, by lighting up the streets of New Providence in a partnership to create safer communities.
If you’re out at night, you may have noticed the streets seem brighter, that’s because the police, Bahamas Power and Light, and Walkers Enterprise employees have joined forces to install new LED bulbs.
Officer in Charge of Neighborhood Watch & Urban Renewal, Chief Superintendent Anthony Rolle says the concerns from residents prompted the change.
Chairman of the National Neighborhood Watch Council, Keno Wong echoing similar sentiments, while one Bain Town resident said he says he feels safer now with the improved lighting on his street.
