NASSAU, BAHAMAS – A man accused of killing his wife’s alleged lover is seeking to have the case against him dismissed.

Twenty-seven-year-old Donald Ferguson is charged with murder in the Geovanni Rolle, who was gunned down at Jet Nassau on Father’s Day in 2024.

Rolle allegedly identified his killer, as DJ, Ferguson’s nickname before he died.

Ferguson, who represents himself, has argued that the alleged dying declaration is inadmissible since there is evidence to show he was elsewhere when Rolle was killed.

A Western Air pilot has sworn an affidavit saying that he heard gunshots in the distance as he headed towards to the Lynden Pindling International Airport at around 5:55am.

After clearing security, the pilot said he took the escalator and met Ferguson seated in the departure lounge.

He said Ferguson appeared normal as they spoke, and Ferguson asked if he was captaining the flight to Freeport.

The pilot said he left to make preflight safety checks and learned of Ferguson’s arrest on social media.

Similarly, a ticket agent also told police that Ferguson appeared normal when he checked in for his flight.

Ferguson said police have failed to produce surveillance footage from the airport or the results of a gunshot residue tests.
