Man Faces Murder Charge for Lauren Saunders’ Death

NASSAU, BAHAMAS – A man accused of killing his pregnant mistress and dumping her body in bushes is behind bars.

Thirty-one-year-old Reuben Cartwright Jr stood before Chief Magistrate Roberto Reckley charged with the October 19 murder of Lauren Saunders.

He was not required to enter a plea to charge as the matter will be tried in the Supreme Court.

Cartwright was denied bail and is due to return to court on January 22 to receive voluntary bill of indictment papers.

Saunders’ partially decomposed body was found in bushes off Munnings Drive on October 22, days after she was reported missing.
