NASSAU, BAHAMAS – Prime Minister Philip Davis, had some surprising figures when it comes to Bahamians and banking at the opening of Bank of The Bahamas’ new JFK location this afternoon.

The Prime Minister said the bank plays a vital role in the Bahamian economy but mentioned there’s still a percentage of the population unbanked.

The Prime Minister applauded Bank of The Bahamas’ efforts to have a broad archipelagic presence, with branches in many family islands.

But he urged the bank to continue to go even further.
