Former FNM MP Michael Foulkes officially throwing his hat into the ring for the position of chairman of the Free National Movement. He’s confident he will be successful at the party’s convention in February.

Former Member of Parliament for Golden Gates Michael Foulkes nominating for chairman of the Free National Movement today. If elected, he vowed to strengthen the base of the party and defend its record to ensure a win in the next general election.

 



Foulkes who was flanked by a small group of supporters, including his brother, Former Minister of Labour and Transport Dion Foulkes and Meritorious Council Member Thomas Cadet says his wealth of experience while serving in various capacities within the party, will guarantee a win at the party’s convention in February.

In October, Former Yamacraw MP Elsworth Johnson revealed he intends to throw his hat into the ring for FNM chairman. One month later, Former Health Minister Dr. Duane Sands revealed he too is eyeing a run for the post. 

Foulkes says he began campaigning for the chairmanship position after the party’s one day leadership convention in November. He believes he has garnered strong support from the party’s associations.
