NASSAU, BAHAMAS – Blue economy businesses are one step closer to getting entrepreneurial support and investment, through a memorandum of understanding signed today.

Access Accelerator and the Small Business Development Center signed an MOU with The Nature Conservancy to support the development and investment in businesses in the blue economy.

The blue economy refers to economic activities that generate wealth from the world’s oceans and coasts.

Prime Minister Philip Davis made a commitment to grow the blue economy since coming to office.

Samantha Rolle, Interim Executive Director for Access Accelerator, explains what the agreement will do for the blue economy in The Bahamas and the creation of high-value jobs and wealth.
