NASSAU, BAHAMAS – A murder victim’s brother won’t be able to attend his funeral as he’s now behind bars facing a murder charge.

Prosecutors have charged 29-year-old Jeremiah Andrews with the January 6th shooting murder of Takeil Tynes, who was otherwise known as Pumpkin.

Tynes was shot dead at King Bar’s on Robinson Road and prosecutors say Andrews is responsible.

Andrews was not required to enter a plea to the murder charge when he appeared before Chief Magistrate Joyann Ferguson-Pratt.

He was denied bail and returns to court on April 4.

This means that Andrews will miss the funeral of his brother Kevin Andrews, who was shot dead on January 2 along with his girlfriend Lauranique Taylor at a home in Montell Heights.

Police have charged Shervin Mullings with their murders.
