AUSTIN, TEXAS – Another Bahamian track and field sensation is cashing in on her rising star status. Jamiah Nabbie, the Texas Longhorn sprinter, has officially signed a Name, Image, and Likeness (NIL) deal with global athletic brand PUMA as she begins her freshman season in Austin.

Nabbie first gained international attention at the 50th CARIFTA Games, where she pulled off the impressive sprint double, winning both the 100m and 200m titles.

After battling injuries in 2024, she returned to form this season, capping her comeback with a standout performance at CARIFTA 2025 in Trinidad and Tobago, where she helped lead Team Bahamas to silver in the mixed 4x400m relay.

Her PUMA signing marks another major NIL milestone for Bahamian athletes competing in the NCAA.

76ers, Warriors Continue Win Streaks

Different paths, but both VJ Edgecombe and Buddy Hield found themselves on the winning side Tuesday night in the NBA.

In the East, the Philadelphia 76ers stayed undefeated after a dramatic 139–134 overtime victory over the Washington Wizards at Capital One Arena.

Edgecombe drained all of his field goals from deep, going 4-for-8 from three, finishing with 14 points, 6 rebounds, and 4 assists. His performance helped Philly erase a 16-point fourth-quarter deficit.

Edgecombe is now averaging 22.3 points, 5.8 rebounds, and 5.5 assists, as the 76ers look to extend their streak against the Boston Celtics on Friday.

Out West, Buddy Hield saw limited minutes for the second straight game, scoring two points in 10 minutes during the Golden State Warriors’ 96–78 win over the Los Angeles Clippers at the Chase Center.

The Warriors improved to 4–1 and face the Milwaukee Bucks on Thursday.
