NASSAU, BAHAMAS – A national plan may hold the key for the revitalization of Grand Bahama’s economy, and new opportunities on other Family Islands, according to the Chief Executive Officer of Fidelity Group of Companies.

Megan Shepherd tells us more.

The closing of business doors and a sluggish economy are not new to the island of Grand Gahama and for quite some time, residents have been seeking the next step in bringing revitalization to the island.

When it comes to the second city, he says there are several areas that need attention.

Bowe says a national plan must be established and then grand bahamians can begin to go after the individual pieces to complete the puzzle of Grand Bahama’s rebound.

According to Bowe, given the island’s size and potential, it should be one of the largest components in national development.

He says if the government does not lead the initiative, then he is challenging residents to step up.
