Major League Baseball’s 2023 Season Began on Tuesday

MIAMI, FLORIDA – Major League Baseball’s 2023 season opened, Thursday. Jazz Chisholm, centerfielder for the Miami Marlins and Antoan Richardson, first base coach of the San Francisco Giants kicked off their seasons.

Chisholm And the Marlins Lose 5-3 to the Mets

Tuesday was a disappointing day from the plate and in the field for Marlins phenom Jazz Chisholm. Starting his first game at his new position in centerfield, he went 0-4 from the plate with 2 strikeouts. He also struggled at his new position in center field.

Jazz is adjusting to a new position in the outfield so expect a developmental curve there, but he’s a hitter’s hitter. I don’t think he’s going 0-for tomorrow.

Richardson’s Giants Fall 5-0 To The Yanks

Antoan Richardson’s season began in the big apple as his San Francisco Giants fell to the Yankees, 5-0.

The Yankees’ Gerrit Cole silences the Giants’ bats, striking out 11 in six innings, giving up only three hits. Aaron Judge and Gleyber Torres hit home runs for the Bombers.

Jazz and the Marlins play the Mets again tomorrow while Richardson and the Giants play the Yanks on Saturday.
