OPM Unveils Extensive Crime Plan

NASSAU, BAHAMAS – Two days after his national address on crime and gang violence, the Office of The Prime Minister released this five-pillar strategy plan to address crime.

The whole-of-government and whole-of-society approach lays out what they’re calling the clear hold and build strategy.

The government invites the public to read the detailed plan on the office of the prime minister’s website.

Since the rise in crime, many have been calling for the government to revisit the issue of capital punishment.

Latrae Rahming says it’s a matter that lies with the judiciary.

The government plans on rolling out facial recognition CCTV.  There is also plans for anti-gang legislation. Rahming believes that’s what will make this plan more effective.
