NASSAU, BAHAMAS – The year 2025 has nearly flown by and once again, the Edmond Moxey Park has been lit up with thousands of Christmas lights.

It’s a sight that’s become familiar around this season.

The pathways, benches, cabanas and surrounding areas, all colored in beautiful lighting and ornaments, something that’s become a favorite for residents.

The creative mind behind the project is Think Tank CEO, Kasimu Ellis.

And it’s become a family affair.

Ellis continuing the tradition of hosting a family opening night, where Christmas movies play on the big screen free of charge and there’s popcorn for the kids.

But, what impressed me most was the number of young men that assist Ellis and clean up the park day to day, something PLP candidate for the St. Barnabas constituency, Michael Halkitis, says is a good thing.

New Providence residents won’t be the only ones to experience the magic.

The joy will be spread to the family islands as well.

The question on everyone’s mind, how many bulbs did it take?

“Suspended right now as you see in both corridors we have some last time I counted. It was 53,000 LED bobs that are suspended over the walkway. That’s just over the walkway is not lining the ground and the side.” – Ellis
