NASSAU, BAHAMAS – The rain didn’t put a damper on back-to-school shopping. Many parents headed out today to catch major deals as the VAT holiday kicked off.

Janaees Uniform Center was bustling with parents trying to get a jump start on the first day of the back to school VAT holiday, this morning.

Many of those customers were helped by some of Janaees summer students.

Just down the road at Carey’s Fabric and Uniform Store, Manager Kim Gibson tells Our News while some stores said they struggled to prepare their systems for last year’s back to school VAT holiday, this year’s preparation was much easier.
