FRANCE – The Paris Olympics’ grand opening, set against the picturesque backdrop of a sunset and moonlit river, will span nearly four hours, according to organizers.

205 delegations will parade on 80 boats along the Seine, snaking 3.7 miles. The ceremony features artistic performances preceding the athletes’ parade.

10,500 athletes will pass 320,000 fans on the embankments, with giant screens broadcasting the spectacle.

While concerns about safety linger due to recent events, officials say they remain optimistic, working tirelessly for the iconic celebration.
