EXUMA, BAHAMAS – Exuma island will soon be the home of the country’s newest state of the art resort development, Kiama Bahamas.

The Davis administration making the announcement this week while inking a Heads of Agreement for the 56 million dollar project.

Kiama Bahamas powered by Silent Resorts will be the country’s first fully sustainable residence and yacht resort community.

Prime Minister Philip Davis says the resort will not only be environmentally friendly but create employment for Bahamians.

President of the development, John Long says an early opening is planned before the end of the year and the good news is, they will only develop 16 percent of the island.

Now the project will include 28, four to six bedroom private villas on the island, and he says everything is also 100 percent solar powered.

Tourism and Investment Minister and Member of Parliament for Exuma and Ragged Islands, Chester Cooper, calling it a great opportunity for Exuma.
