NASSAU, BAHAMAS – Officials from The Ministry of Works are appealing to the public to exercise patience, following the assault of one of their traffic managers last week by a motorist on East Street South.

Officials say the employee, who required medical treatment, is not the only one who has been affected, as road maintenance crews encounter harassment almost every day while conducting their jobs

Assistant Civil Engineer, Bahiyyah Hepburn says the lane closures and traffic diversions are to ensure repairs are completed as safely and rapidly as possible.
