NASSUA, BAHAMAS – With its slate of candidates now locked in and the campaign clock officially ticking, the Progressive Liberal Party is moving from internal selection to full-scale campaign mode, closing ranks Monday night as it ratified candidates and signaled unity ahead of its national campaign launch.
That message was delivered Monday night as PLP supporters gathered at Gambier House for the final ratification of candidates.
Philip Davis, Leader, Progressive Liberal Party
“Tonight is the end of one phase and the beginning of another. The selection process is done. Ratifications are complete. Next week on Friday, February 16, the Progressive Liberal Party launches its campaign, and when we launch, we launch with unity.”
Newly ratified candidates addressed supporters, outlining the PLP’s record since returning to office in 2021 and pledging continued investment in infrastructure, improved labor relations and social programs.
Among them, Englerston MP Glenys Hanna-Martin is making her sixth consecutive run.
