Progressive Liberal Party members and supporters filled PLP headquarters Thursday evening, as they paid respect to a brother, colleague, and friend.
Prime Minister Philip Davis paid tribute to Wilchcombe remembering his friendship and the times spent in governance together.
Davis also spoke to Wilchcombe’s commitment to the Progressive Liberal Party.
Former Prime Minister Perry Christie spoke about Wilchcombe’s love for Grand Bahama.
Out of all the fellow ministers and politicians, perhaps Education Minister Glenys Hanna Martin was closest to him.
Prime Minister Davis also announced that the state funeral for Wilchcombe will be held on Thursday, October 12th at Christ Church Cathedral.
