NASSAU, BAHAMAS – “What a difference one year makes…” Prime Minister Philip Davis begins his One Year Review since being elected Prime Minister of The Bahamas, in a communication to the House of Assembly, Wednesday.

PM Davis outlined his government’s accomplishments and achievements one year in office, however he acknowledged given the current global climate, there is still more work to be done.

“The accomplishments of the past 12 months have only been possible because the Bahamian people stepped up and stepped forward to work with us,” Davis said.

For too long, the PM says the cost of living has been too high, and global crises have made issues worse.

“War in Ukraine and supply chain issues have created a global crisis which has driven up prices in the world,” he added.

Among the highlights outlined by the PM are reducing import duties, monitoring price controls, providing free wifi on public parks and supporting the development of small businesses.
