NASSAU, BAHAMAS – Getting ready for the U.S. vice president’s visit was no small task as it took weeks of preparation.

U.S. Embassy Acting Consular Chief, Jessica Almshaeuser telling media a lot went into making sure everything was ready for a visit of this magnitude.

Over the past five decades The Bahamas and The United States have forged commercial and trade ties, cooperated on security and law enforcement and shared cultural and educational exchanges.

The acting consular chief says the VP’s visit is to strengthen those ties.
