NASSAU, BAHAMAS – Many Bahamians were shocked and outraged after an alleged invoice showing the Ministry of Finance approved the purchase of a nearly $200K 2024 BMW was leaked online.

That resident is just one of many who expressed distaste at the idea of the government allegedly spent nearly $200K on a new luxury vehicle.

Tuesday morning, a leaked invoice stamped for approval by the Ministry of Finance showed the purchase of a  2024 BMW Series 7 for $192,500 after VAT from Auto Mall Omega Motors sent shockwaves throughout social media platforms.

Susan Lightbourn has lived in the country for over 30 years. She calls the spending wrong on every level.

Arnold Bullard was also critical.

This resident said they feel helpless.

But not all were staunchly against the purchase. Bert Hayling said it all depends on the intended purpose of the vehicle.
