Public Weighs In On PLP’s Performance In Three Years

NASSAU, BAHAMAS – Residents are giving mixed reactions on the Davis administration’s last three years in office.

Some say the Progressive Liberal Party (PLP) government has done well when it comes to running the country, while others slam their performance so far.

New Providence native Gertrina Williams was one of the critics.

On September 16th, 2021 the PLP garnered majority of votes in a snap election defeating Dr. Hubert Minnis and the Free National Movement (FNM).  

The PLP marking their win with an anniversary celebration service at the Church Of God of Prophecy on East Street on Sunday.

Prime Minster Philip Davis highlighted what he called their accomplishments like signing labor agreements with trade unions; increasing the national minimum wage and conducting post-Covid-19 learning assessments in public schools.

Gen Z’s were not left out of the conversation. Twenty-three-year-old Masko Archer praised Davis’s administration for some of the strides they’ve made.
