NASSAU, BAHAMAS – Days after Foreign Affairs Minister Fred Mitchell says it’s time for the king to be moved as Head of State, two of his cabinet colleagues are weighing in.

We put the question to National Security Minister Wayne Munroe who said it’s something hes given no thought to.

His comments come days after the coronation of King Charles III last weekend.

In November 2021, Barbados became the first country in the region to remove the queen as its Head of State.

Following this, six Caribbean countries including The Bahamas indicated their intention to remove the queen as Head of State.
