NASSAU, BAHAMAS – Calls for capital punishment are getting louder as violence has pushed the country’s murder count to 14 for the year. Residents are sounding off on the idea.

According to and Our News social media poll on facebook, the majority of residents prefer lethal injection as a method of capital punishment with nearly one thousand votes.

The last execution held in The Bahamas was on January 6 2000.
