Kristian Robinson Hits A Home Run in AA

UNITED STATES – Kristian Robinson showed why he was considered one of the top prospects in the Arizona Diamondbacks Organization coming into the season.

Playing for the Amarillo Sodpoodles, the team’s Double-A Affiliate, Robinson blasted a solo shot to left-centerfield to help his team get a 9-0 win over the Northwest Arkansas Naturals yesterday.

It’s been rough sledding so far this season for Robinson. He’s hitting .165 with a .487 OPS, way below his averages so far in his career, even when returned last year from a three-year hiatus. He started the season off with injuries hindering him in the first few weeks, and possibly throughout the season, but it’s clear here that he still possess big league power.

He has half a season left to show it off.
